I do not PvP well

I think, unless it's Alterac and the people who are good at it can clear the way, I absolutely despise PvP in WoW.

You get rewarded more honor for doing random battlegrounds. These battlegrounds are required to complete to get honor, which is required to get good gear to do more battlegrounds to get more honor to get better gear so you can go into raids and get better content to do more battlegrounds and raids.

The problem is the entry point.

Going into PvP with only quest greens and low-cost AH blues means you die. A lot. As in, don't expect to kill anyone on your own, and expect to be the first to die when you get into a fight. You get more honor for winning, which is all but impossible to do if you're new and you don't have excellent players on your team. You need to win to get better gear to be able to help win. This leads to a problem that is what people complained about in Counterstrike; Winning gets you more faster, which allows you to win more easily faster and decidedly. This isn't even getting into class balance, which I've bitched about to no end everywhere else. I like balance. This is not balance.

We got off of our boat and I saw 2 45k warriors, a 50k DK and a 32k warlock. I got to the beach, got deathgripped, then died. I respawned, ran back to our siege engine, and a rogue stunned me then killed me in 3 seconds.

I kind of refuse to be farmed for honor, earning nothing while dead and spending 3/4 of my time dead, just so I can net 15 points for losing. Winning nets you 90 for the first of the day, mind you, plus all the points for the people you killed on the way.

Pass. I'll wait for the weekend when people who can stomp the competition are on. I can't contribute dick, I'm not specced into the indestructible one and don't have the gear for it anyway, and I don't have enough of a temper to be able to grin and bear getting smashed in for hours to accrue half of what I need to update my shitty gear.
