Let me tell you why that's bullshit

I'm going to possibly regret this come morning, but enh.

So Kyo/Travis/whatever is back on Twitter. Or not, as he would have you believe, but hey, self-delusional is a powerful drug. Our favorite mask-wearing pathological liar is now "Tea Hasegawa," a twenty-something game developer from North Carolina who is sworn to secrecy about her real identity. Let's count the things that are ridiculous here:

Her blog is an exact rip-off of KyoNet's design, and when pressed on this she claimed she took the template when KyoNet went down. Of course, Kyo allegedly designed the layout himself and to my knowledge didn't make a template available. Plus, Kyo nuked his old identity from orbit and any such template would have been gone once it all went down, so it wouldn't have been able to be retrieved.

In her twitter feed, she talks about XI and leveling SAM, which was Kyo's main job. She talked about leveling DRG for fun, which was Kyo's other main job. Her main in XIV was LNC/DRG just like Kyo. She was from Sandy, just like Kyo. The single screenshot of her mithra character has no name on it, and Kyo (and everyone, for that matter) knew how to .dat swap to make any imagery he wanted.

She "savored" some Mountain Dew Livewire, Kyo's favorite soda. She loves tea, Kyo's favorite drink. She lives in NC, as mentioned, a veritable stone's throw from Virginia, where Kyo allegedly lived before. Right, and I'm from New Jersey.

She is apparently a developer for a big gaming company in NC, of which there is one, Insomniac Games. Our twenty-something female is apparently very important, despite the current state of the gaming industry and its gender situation. It isn't like #1reasonwhy was trending recently, citing the difficulties of being a female game dev or anything. She was recently tapped to have to sit with QA to watch a reproduction of a bug that takes 20 hours to do, which is only plausible if you have no idea how bug testing works. Not to mention any current game having 20 hours worth of content without resetting values or data in a world.

She allegedly walked past 10 people doing some stupid animu dance in the hallways and lamented not being allowed to take pictures inside of the studio.

When I pointed out that the new persona only existed since November, this is where things get insulting.

" I did get the OK to make this account in November though, yes."

Let me tell you why that's bullshit. See, as someone who actually works in sensitive-data areas, the first and most important part of being a pseudonym to not draw attention to yourself is NOT FUCKING BROADCASTING ITS A PSEUDONYM. If you had to "get permission" to make an account, you wouldn't then jeopardize that alias by then pointing out and dangling it like an attention-whoring- Oh wait, this is Kyo.

control+f, "north carolina."

Epic Games. Insomniac Games. Red Storm, part of Ubisoft, and some indie dev. I totally believe you're under some airtight NDA regarding a release from them.

This is all on top of happening to follow more or less the exact same people as Kyo on twitter. The first people the new account latched onto was a bunch of XIV stuff and Calaera's folks. None of this passes the sniff test, and regardless of how much you deny and refute and ^^; at everyone, not a single person is falling for it.
