Missed the bus

So today Square Enix posted new job abilities for the 91-95 level increase. I know this isn't the final word, there are still job traits, blah blah blah but something was missing from the list. Amidst the pile of new mechanics and abilities and stuff, someone forgot to remind SE that WAR and MNK exist.

I know we didn't need a ton of help; hell, we don't need any help really. It's just insulting and in my opinion poor design to have a long-awaited level cap increase AND notes in the FFXI Job Manifesto be completely ignored and neglected. This is the second-to-last level increase and my class of choice has no presents to open? That's a little goofy.

I don't think it would be unreasonable to make good on the implied promise from SE's behalf to let WAR force a crit on a ten or fifteen minute timer. This is the same update where BLM is getting a one-use Manafont AND the Comet spell. This is the same update where DRK is being given castable Aura-Steal, and THF gets terror? Chance to intimidate? Ramuh's getting stun-ga, something that won't ever get used because no one in their right mind will ever use Ramuh for stunning. Not like BPs have a delay or anything, and it's DEFINITELY not like the minimum timer for that new ability is the MAXIMUM for the spell of the same effect. Jesus.

I feel a little (okay, a lot) disappointed in all of this. Generic dynamis updates, woohoo Relic augments. I'm probably staring down 75 Voidwalker drops to level up my axe, and there is nothing new to explore, just stuff to grind down without much reward (currently). It's sad to see the game being neglected like this. I blame XIV for it, of course, but hey, if that's the way it's gonna go, I'll just keep playing WoW I guess. I'm already not looking forward to the ridiculous mandatory Crysta-or-scam-website conversion that's happening over NBcon, so maybe it's best to just duck out until 99, then come back refreshed and anew?

I hate this.
