Retrospective v1

Sometimes we can't help ourselves and we look up people from our pasts. Today was a bit of a chain reaction; it started at the Fail threads on BG and ended up at "QCDN" which is no now longer an XI board and was prematurely turned into a XIV board.

Reading over the "Is Eosun dead?" topic, it turns out those idiots apparently abandoned XI. After Abyssea they made an Abyssea board which no one used. They deleted the job-specific boards. They deleted the entire flameboard history. They still have the "functioning" parts of the board, like the Dynamis schedule (go Dynamis!) and the Auctionhouse board.

How do these things happen? I was looking over the AH listings for some of the people on Quetz, too, and yeesh. How do you play a game for years and not pick up any of the concepts for end-level play? I don't get it. When I was told how the mechanics worked, I sort of made it a point to mention it along. I don't get it.

How many times can someone tell themselves haste gear is too expensive? Among two different people, the word "Dusk" only appears once. The word "Swift" only appears once. I don't understand.

TV distracting, lost my point. I'll rage about gimps later.
